News and Technical Updates

- Here we are, the last update of 2008!

- For those of you that know--and for you newbies, here's a heads up--'tis the season...for FLIG's annual hibernation, that is. With three major holidays on the way, I don't have as much time to constantly update the site AND get new images going AND do coding, so naturally, I stop updating for two or three months so that I can use every bit of time I can get my hands on to better this place, and make changes. And there will be many changes for next year.

- To start, the bio's section will be prodded, gutted, and reshaped. There will be more detailed--and easier to follow--subsections, updated pics and info on everyone, the all new "6-degrees" category (providing a visual guide to how each character is connected to each other), and the new "Family Ties" section, devoted purely to blood-relatives. There will also be a new gallery section separating the fur from the scale from the fantasy specials, making it easier for lovers of any category to find what they want without having to search through every other thing under the sun. The site pages will be updated to a new look and color scheme (my favorite part!), and the overall mood of my art will be shifting right along with it.

- Now, just to clarify, this hibernation period doesn't mean the site will be shut down or anything--it'll still be here at the same capacity as always. It just means that no new images will be added until next year. Assuming my calculations are correct, January 31st and February 7th fall on the weekend, which will be the tentative dates for next year's return. They might be a few days sooner or later, depending on how my real-life is going. Thankfully, it will be far less busy than it is right now, but on the offbeat chance the world, oh, comes to an end between now and January, I want you to know that the update may be pushed back a week or more.

- Though 2008 was by far one of my worst years ever for art, I can say that by the time 2009 rolls around, I will have worked out a far more productive system to getting all of the various things I do done, while still managing to balance work and the rest of life right along with it. On that note, to all of my fans overseas and right next door, have an incredible end of 2008. Lots of love, and I'll see you next year! =3
